The wife has just been approved for her first major card. After having paid off a vehicle early, holding a few store cards (best is Macy's AMEX), and being AU on a slew of my cards, my wife applied to Discover It and was approved for an initial credit limit of $13.5k to become her first major card!!! Her APR is 12.99% but we PIF.
Wife just got approved for an AMEX BCE with an initial credit limit of $19k!
And if that wasn't enough, the wife was just approved for the Marriot Rewards Premier card with an initial credit line of $29.8k!! The approval read: "If this does not meet your needs, you can discuss available credit line options with a Customer Service Specialist when you call to confirm receipt of your card."
