So I just got approved for the Wells Fargo Active cash car for a limit of $18,000! I was only expected to be approved for 5k or 11k because about 11 months ago I was denied for a Citi Simplicity and given a very low limit of $1,000 Cash Magnet card with Amex. However, I have been very agressively been paying all my cards down very agressively. My highest utilization was at about 123% or so. Now it's down to about 27%. This new limit brings my total current credit limits up from $33k on 4 cards all the way up to $51k!
The reason why I chose the Active Cash card was not only because of the intro APR on balance transfers, but also because I've had a house with them for about 15 years now and also the ability to do a product change if need be later down the line. Also with some of my research it seemed that going with a different issuer may help with getting a higher line as Amex for example seems to have a policy that caps the total credit lines that they can extend to you.
Also as I was just organizing my Amex accounts, I checked for a CLI as well just for fun, and got approved for an additional $10k! DEFINITELY was not expecting that either. haha
Congrats
Very nice all around, congratulations!
