Although the physical card has not yet arrived, the Android app is actually quite neat and allows the use of the account immediately upon acceptance.
Among the interesting features includes:
- Access to complete, actual account number, exp. date and CVV with which to make purchases online
- Set-up of GPay, if desired, for 24-hour use
- Tracking of delivery of card
- Ability to set-up and use vitual card numbers -- permanent, temporary and one-time
- Management and use of various "bonus offers" and visibility of points accrued
- Ability to share invitations with others for intstant access to new card applications, bypassing the interminable waiting line
- Ability to set-up automatic payments (on various schedules and with bonus points offers)
All in all, I'm pretty impressed with the feature set that I can see on this app. Clearly, it is oriented towards directing spend and point redemptions towards their retail and services partners -- but not in a particularly obtrusive or obnoxious manner. Some obvious dashboard items are not present (e.g. account balance, available credit remaining, etc.) -- but that may be because I either haven't used the account as yet or received the physical card.
So far, so good. Will continue to report on what I observe with this product.
