Re: Yes, yes, yes!

Thanks everyone! I kind of feel like I'm starting to win this credit marathon thing.  Maybe not win....but now I'm not so far behind everyone.

First off, I want to thank EVERYONE on this forum for the stellar advice I've received.  I received a CLI on my NFCU card last month from 1k to 6k.  My app finger was itchy, so I pulled the trigger and asked for 10k...approved!!!  I have a card with a 10k limit.  I never thought I'd see the day...I'm forever thankful to all the advice I have read on this forum.  Woot woot!

That's what I'm talking about Boooo Ya

Congrats

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: Yes, yes, yes!

Congrats, I know how it feels to gets high limits.  I reconned recently an approval of $9600 to $10,000 on my Sallie Mae card just so that I could know how it felt to have 10K!  Funny thing is about the same time GE gave me an increase to $9600 on my PayPal card.  I thought that was amusing.  When Compass gave me a card for $8000 I was estatic.  It was actually my highest limit until Barclays said yes to my Sallie Mae and the PayPal MC.  (I really don't know which was first, but it was within a few days of each other reaching that high.)

If I were you I would certainly be speaking with Capital One's EO about making that QS One card into simply a QS card!

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.....
Always follow these rules: Only take a HP for a new account. Always use the best rewards card for that reward category. Don't close a card unless you know you really should. Never use more than 35% of a credit limit. Recon as much and as best you can. Use the introductory period to the best advantage. Get the signup bonus. Whenever possible PIF or balance transfer so you pay less in interest. Never give an excellent rating when it is actually the norm. Always look for a discount as more is always better.
Always accept candy from strangers because they have the best candy or from people you know have good candy.

Re: Yes, yes, yes!

Thanks!!!  I am wondering if I should go back today and ask for like 24k and see what the counter would be so I can be at my NFCU max.  Any suggestions?  I did see someone in the NFCU CLI thread who did requests a day apart....argh!
