Yet another Discover CLI!

Just got another 4k CLI from Discover! I used to get them approximately each month, but last month was no dice (kept getting the 2-day message resulting in no CLI--tried maybe once or twice each week), although I guess I can't complain too much because it's grown quite a lot and I've only had it since this March.

A short history of my card to date:

    • 6/1: 1k -> 1.5k
    • 7/9: 1.5k -> 5.5k
    • 8/7: 5.5k -> 9.5k
    • 9/11: 9.5k -> 13.5k
    • 11/9: 13.5k -> 17.5k

Edit: Oops, I put this in the wrong section but I don't know how to move it...Sorry all.

Re: Yet another Discover CLI!

All this nice Discover luv lately has me wanting to PIF a recently applied BT which normally would be considered stupid but if it will help with another SP CLI i'm all for it.

That's really kind of surprising given how conservative Discover can be.  Were you paying your balance in full every month?  What do you think contributed to this?

Yeah, Discover definitely showed their notoriously conservative side when I first got the card...my starting limit was $1k, which was less than the limit on my first card ($3.3k) and the Sallie Mae MC that I applied for around the same time ($4.5k), so I was bummed when I got it. I'm not sure exactly why they like me so much (not that I'm complaining at all!), but it does get a fair bit of usage (about $1-2k each statement) since it's what I put everything on other than gas/groceries on. I do pay in full every month.

Thanks everybody! I love how supportive myFico has been.
