I've had Discover about 4 years now and I've always got smallish CLI ($250-$1000) but they seemed to come rather quickly, more often then my other cards.. But at least you got one.. Some don't.

Well let me give you some good news. Discover is on my chop list. It is gone as soon as my venture starts to report. My lowest CL to date and I havent bothered requesting a CLI in a few months. It became my least used card after I got better cards. It's not even that I am unhappy with the card. Its just that I no longer have any use for it, not even to collect dust in my drawer.

I thought Discover was a must have for people with good credit?

Discover approves people from Fair to Excellent credit.. Just different terms APR and CL's. The are just like a Cap1 IMO in the sense of whom they approve although it might take a few more times with discover w/regards to applications. They certainly can approve from sup-prime to prime borrower's. They love people right out of BK or new to credit and also enjoy the people with 800+ scores. Each lender not these two has there pro's/con's.
Congrats OP you are getting more than most of us which they cut off from CLI"s recently.

My Discover is on the block along with my BCE if my Rtiz application gets approved. I agree that there is little use for the Discover as you get a stable full of premium cards; I haven't used it or my BCE in over a year. They're both way down on my CL list. If I wanted to keep just one it would have to be the BCE with the higher likelihood of a reasonable CL in the future and the overwhelmingly positive nature of my personal and business relationship with AMEX.
I picked up the Discover it because my mom told me how great they are. She's had a Discover for 30 years, never missed a payment on any account, and probably gets treated like royalty over there! Maybe if I was an AU on her card, I would have seen better growth. However, I don't have the patience she does so I'll keep pushing my CL's through new applications.

Are you serious discover? 300.00 CLI?
Well no longer sitting eternally at 6200, now up to a whopping 6500.00!!
It's been empty for a while.
BT 4500 over to it and made 1000.00 payment on it then asked for CLI.
Thinking about chopping this once it's paid off....
I've had my Discover IT card for three years and just got my first CLI from $1900 to $2200 using the luv button. This was my fourth attempt in the three years. Even though Discover has been stingy with me on CLI's, I still like them and plan to keep the card.
