i applied about a week ago for a chase amazon visa. got the well let u know in the mail. took it as a denial. today i called to recon and the woman said there is a verification holding up the decision. the fraud dept is closed until monday 8am. hopefully after i answer some questions its approved. i was approved for a freedom card 40-45 days ago. has anyone else had success with apping for a chase card then being held up at verification then being denied or appoved afterwards?
These days, verification from Chase does not mean an approval. It can swing either way.. Ring them tomorrow and see what they say. Those inquiry count in your siggy though may pose a problem..

Especially with all those new approvals.

Yep.. Going to be a stretch as Chase seems to be tightening the rules a bit now..

They seem to be. The wife seems to have hit her exposure limit w/Chase even though her income both reported and W2 is higher than mine.
$14,500 vs $28,500 ![]()
i will call in the am and update in the morning. fine with the denial either way. froze all my reports to garden for a very long time. i see they already pulled eq. hope they dont need me to unfreeze anything.
All my Chase apps go into verification. Once you are done with verification Chase usually will let you know the outcome right away. Good luck! And then go straight to the garden and let your accounts age and let your inq drop off your report. Slow down ![]()

Yep..
that card can be a pain to get.
i have pretty crappy scores (720 and less) and got it a year ago (only Chase card i've have had to verify with 666 TU at the time).
some great profiles/income get denied for some reason so lord only knows what Chase wants for an approval for Amazon.
good luck monday, keep us posted.
i been reading alot of chase verifiaction horror stories about faxing id and stuff. i see they were eventually approved but took forever. hopefully after i answer some questions it goes thru one way or the other. from others i read it seems once u get verification ur almost approved but as my profile states im more on the downside basically lucky to be approved if so happens. it would be nice tho since i do alot of shopping on amazon. reports have been frozen since last night and garden until 2016 and time to build me a farm lol.
