@Sspartan wrote:The targeted bonus offers that are what make this one of my favorite cash back cards. Here is the one I received last month.
That's awesome, thanks for sharing Ss. And this is stackable on top of the regular 5% and 3% points, right?

Yes, you still get the regular cash back 5% and 3% in points. plus the targeted bonus in statement credits. When I used this card for gas last month I was getting 15% back in statement credits and another 5% back in points that I have used to get Amazon and Wal-Mart gift cards. The offer I have this quarter limits the statement credits to $90 a month but that changes with each offer received.I have also had different targeted spend bonus offers sent in the same quarter that overlap and stack as well. I think one was for using the card for online transactions.

Thanks again. Can I ask you real quickly about how the gift card redemption process works? It's through raise. So, do you get to select from any gift cards on the regular Raise site? And do you get the same gift card discount you see on raise.com? Thanks.

Download the SYW MAX app. It makes it very easy to track points and redeem for alot of different types of cards. Plus they have missions that allow you to make even more points with your purchases.

@TheBoondocks wrote:Congrats on the card. Could you link it to your citi account now?
Thanks. I don't have the physical card yet, nor have I created on-line access to the SYW card yet but I have done some research. If by link you mean link TY points, the answer is no. I guess there was a time when you could and if I understand correctly, those (lucky) people are still grandfathered. But, currently, the SYW card doesn't provide TY points. As far as linking the SYW card to other citi cards when you log in, I will have to report back once I receive the card and set up online access. Maybe someone else has a better answer.

At one point it was possible in many cases to convert a Citi/Sears Mastercard into the TYP earning variant but Citi stopped allowing that a couple of years ago.
Shop Your Way online account access still links through the Citi Retail Services portal. Citibank announced early this year their intent to consolidate their core and Retail Services portals into a single online access point but that hasn't happened yet (and I haven't seen an announced date for its release) so don't be surprised if you initially aren't able to use a single access point to manage all your Citi cards.
Congratulations on your approval!!

Can confirm all of this. I have a TYP-earner so the payout of most offers is structured differently (usually bonus TYP, occasionally as a statement credit) but the general principle is identical including the ability for a single purchase to count toward multiple promotions. Given the number of targeted promotions that Citi has been offering since late last year a number of us have been in some cases be able to have gas, grocery, restaurant, or online purchases each count towards at least 3 overlapping bonus offers.

Ok, if I wasn't excited enough before, now I officially am. I have my son check the mail every day at 3pm, lol.
If anyone is interested, I app'd on Fri 07-29 and received the card Sat 08-06. Right in that '7 to 10 day' window.
I set asside some time tonight to read everything it came with, register the card online, explore the SYW site, download the SYW MAX app, etc. ![]()
Your experience and DofC inspired me to apply and I got approved yesterday. Thanks! I did have to call in and verify some of the same information that I had already submitted in the online app but it only took 2 minutes. I got 1 email confirming approval but otherwise seems like there's no SYW account access until the physical card and paperwork shows up.
