discover credit limit increase

About 770 to 790.

I tried to leave small balance and let it report, but when I request credit limit increase, it always a denial.  So I did something opposite, no spending at all.  Approved.  I will try one month small balance, one month zero, and I will see what happen.  I will keep trying something different.

For my experience, discover never report my highest balance if I pay off before the statement date.  I bought some clothes and high heels on the card and paid off before the statement date, they reported as zero on all bureaus.

Yes, 2 denials followed by three increases, no pattern at all.  Just like lottery, enjoy the process not the result.  I am having a lot of fun and excitement.

For the past two and half years, I tried no balance, small balance, medium balance.  When I make payments, I do it multiple times.  For example, 100 dollars, I will pay 10 dollar a day on 10 different days.  I am just playing with discover.  I do not know if it will work or not, but that is what I did.  I am happy for your increase.  I wish you will get more.
