10% bump in UR point value when spent on Apple products with CSP

Not a huge amount, but some may find use in this... Not sure if CSR is doing this as well.

CSR as well, but travel redemption is still going to be a better value for both.

What am I, a second class citizen? Why did chase only offer me 5% (on something I will never redeem).

Edit to add, this was on a CFU.

Amex BCP $35k
Chase FU $19.6k
BOA Cash Rewards $36k
BJs Perks Plus M/C $22k
Cap1 QS $4,950 (AU)
Best Buy $4k
Wells Fargo Active Cash $11.3

😂 up here in the first class car of the train...

Makes sense though.  Other Chase promos have been higher for those with higher tier cards, so 5% for CFU, 10% for CSP, and 20% for CSR makes sense especially when you consider the travel portal multiplier for CSP and CSR.

For Freedom and Freedom Unlimited cardholders without a CSP or CSR it's actually a good value since it's better redemption value than cash, provided the price of the goods are the same as you would find elsewhere.  (Apple has a Minimum Advertised Price policy like Canon and some others, so generally speaking the price will be the same regardless of where it is purchased.)

Haha......makes a little sense I guess.

Chase second class citizen = non AF paying cardholder

Amex BCP $35k
Chase FU $19.6k
BOA Cash Rewards $36k
BJs Perks Plus M/C $22k
Cap1 QS $4,950 (AU)
Best Buy $4k

Is it just me or does this just seem brilliant to me on the parts of both Chase and Apple?  Apple gets possibly more spending and Chase gets to possibly reduce the points outstanding which they have to account for somehow on their balance sheet.

For those like me who can't really spend points anytime soon, 1.2 cpp on a CSR might not be the best redemption but it's an available avenue which certainly better than the 1 cpp the gift cards are and in my darker hours I have considered just cashing my UR out for statement credit.

To add Chase Ink cards have nothing for bonus redemptions on Apple, Freedom is also 5% bump like the CFU.

Looked at another way, I am planning to upgrade both iPhone and watch this year, 20% discount is arguably better than call it 3% rewards at some level.  Sloppy math I know but I get to travel and whenever I come off the road either for kids or college, I don't think I will be using points then either so now looking at a decade or more and what will stored points be worth then?

I was looking at it as a reason for chase to giive you a reason to keep csp/csr and justiify AF when travel heavily down to bridge gap so people dont keep downgrading and or cancelling cards.   Could be looking at it wrong though.  Still plan on downgrading wiithin next month before AF hits then re upgrade later this year when more comfortable with travel within the US and possibly outside US

As a #samsung4life person, I find this offensive, and might close all Chase cards.

That will show them!!!
