100K, Amex, and CardMatch question

Quick Question:

Why is it that in CardMatch, the only cards to appear after I enter my info, are Capital One and Chase (two cards each)? There are no other cards. I am looking specificially for the Amex and possibly their 100K offer. Is CardMatch the only way to get it these days?

Re: 100K, Amex, and CardMatch question

Card match is another form of credit karma approval odds. It does a SP of your credit and generates what cards they think you will be approved for based on their internal algorithms. Since they don’t have lender UW criteria It’s not very accurate and I wouldn’t rely on it.

With that being said. It’s just a crapshoot if the 100K offer shows up for you.

I was lucky and got the 100K offer to display just by visiting amex’s Website and clicking on the platinum card. I was on a brand new computer.

My fiancée got a 100K offer to display on amex’s Prequalified page but she never did accept it as she doesn’t travel hardly at all unless she’s with me.

Re: 100K, Amex, and CardMatch question

I've read in reddit that some people had the same experience I did... Only showing CSP, Freedom, and Capital One crap. They got Amex to show by mispelling their name. It didn't work for me, and I do not understand why that would even work.

Re: 100K, Amex, and CardMatch question

Actually CardMatch is owned by CreditCards.com; it is totally a different company from Credit Karma.  But its just another marketing channel through which card issuers build interest in their products.  At certain times card issuers advertise deals on cardmatch that are targeted to customers based on credit scores, etc. and in turn CardMatch gets revenue when you apply for an offered card through their website.  If you don't see an offer from a particular issuer it either means that you don't match that's issuer's criteria at the moment.

I just checked and I have several offers from Bank of America that I had never gotten before.  In the past I'd seen offers from Capital One, Chase, and Amex but never BofA.

Which Amex are you trying to find the 100k?

I would assume the OP is referring to the Amex Platinum as that is the card and offer that is regularly mentioned as being available to some on CardMatch.com

It's never the only way to go and never a guaranteed way either.

As long as there's no public or leaked 100K link, cardmatch is just the same as all other methods (such as checking for pre approval offer on Amex's own site), in that it 'randomly' works for some people at sometime and not for others or at other times.

You just need to keep trying once in a while. Good luck!

(btw. if you already have other personal amex card(s) now,  rumor has that it will be difficult for you to pull up 100K offer, might as well start with another version like the Schwab one).

Re: 100K, Amex, and CardMatch question

How often do we get a leaked link? Do people that have Platinum get referral links worth 100K points? I am asking because with my Delta Platinum Amex, I get 70K referral link (record highest), because I got the 70K as well.
