@FutureBillionaire wrote:Ok folks. I was approved for the Amex Biz gold. 50k points with 5k spend and waived annual fee for the first year. Can't beat that. I also applied for that Amex Ameriprise offer for the Platinum card with the fee waived for the first year. Fingers crossed. Any insight if you get the 10-12 days message? I applied for both of them within minutes.
For data points
I app'ed 2 cards same day the second went into processing and was approved the next day
IIRC the second app lately (1 year) usually is not a instant approval
Good luck

I app'd for the Ameriprise Plat yesterday. The rep didn't ask one question about a relationship with Ameriprise. In fact, he wanted to know about how Amex cc's have changed since I received my first one back in '85.
Thanks! Did you have a Platinum before? I'm wondering if Amex will allow for a 2nd bonus on the Ameriprise one.
No, I just have the PRG for charge cards.

Hi Lexie, so no relationship is needed to be approved for the Play via Ameriprise? Or is it YMMV?
I believe its a ymmv. They indicate in their T&Cs that they can terminate the account but from what I've read, it hasn't happened

Anyone know how long the Ameriprise offer is going to be around for? Any reason to think it might go away soon? Just curious!
Ends Aug 31st
FYI, I called today and was approved for teh Platinum Amex through Ameriprise.
I normally loathe Amex charge cards, but I couldnt' pass up opportunities to get the cards with no annual fee.
Received my card today. Agreement indicated the $0 AF for first year. I called to add DH and the CSR read a disclosure concerning the AF of $175. I politely reminded her that I had a AF waiver. After a short hold, she verified no AF and stated, 'let me input this request as no AF'. Curious as to what would have happened if I had not corrected her.
