Just remember if you are gardening that if you cave and apply now, yeah you might get approved with an alright limit, but if you garden for a while longer and get your score where you want it you will start with a great limit. Stick to your guns (or shovels or whatever you use in a garden) and you'll get what you seek when the time is right.
I think you are quite correct in the "try to get your score up first then double app" method if a person can wait that long. (from real or imagined forces, LOL) If a person can clean up their reports, get their scores up into the 700's, kudos to your EX 764 BTW, the "double-single" method is totally doable and with the higher scores you might get a great CL. There was one of our brothers here who did not get any love from AMEX despite a 748 or so score, so as always remember: YMMV
Congrats on your very nice CL LTomBerry, saw your posts here and on the other board, great work my friend!!! I am not very good at this computer stuff, maybe someone can start a sort of AMEX double-single master thread where we can post out experiences on one thread instead of on a dozen or so like now. One stop information for those who want to rebuild their credit, ahhh, two cards at a time, if they can!!! Or it might not be permissable here on myfico. Maybe a mod can weigh in on this subject????? Just a thought...
