2 Card, Same acct #, same security code, okay to use both?

Received my CSP few days ago, realized there was no EMV chip (Card 1)

Then I called Chase to get EMV chip

and new one has arrived.. without EMV chip... (Card 2)

I just requested third card

My question is; Is it possible to use card 2 that has same account number & security code? as card 1?

and if my third card arrives is it okay to use all 3 cards?

Probably. But there isn't any big advantage to doing so.

You definitely don't want to allow someone else to use one of the cards. if they ever detected usage in multiple places at almost the same time that was too far apart to have been done by one person, then they might have to start investigating possible fraud, etc.

Just so you know, an emv chip doesn't always have to be visible. My job id has used them for years, the emv chip several years ago was visible like what you see in many CC's. However the newest id's (last 1-2 years) the chip isn't visible its totally imbedded and covered by the card, still works the same way.

Wow, that si really awesome! In my uneducated opinion, I think that chip really does no good to aesthetics for CSP.Smiley Very Happy

If you are the sole user of the card, then this should be no issue as long as CVV and expiration date is the same (some folks panic or get upset when their CSP gets a scratch), just keep the extras in a safe location.  If you don't want that many spares floating around or run the risk of losing one, take any extras to your local banking center for safe disposal (or mail them back in the special envelope as provided).
