2 Inq's in 2 weeks too much?

Well I just got approved for the amex delta card this week so thats in the mail. But the whole purpose of me getting my credit back on track was to finance a ring. I am looking to a get a ring at weisfield jewelers and finance it through them. I am just wondering if I should wait a couple weeks or does it really matter. I have been working hard to get my credit back in shape and I dont want to drive it down. My scores are: TU 654 EX 631 EQ 617 The other worry I have is if I dont get approved to finance it I just wasted a hard pull on it. While Im doing it, has anyone had any experience with weisfield?

2 inquiry in 2 weeks are fine.

2 inquiries in 2 minutes then you have a problem Smiley Happy

LOL! good one.

OP, do you know who the jeweler inq'd? Because the inqs are just counted on the CRA they went to. So presumably AmEx inq'd EX, and if Weisfield inq'd EQ or TU, they'll be spread out.

Ill have to find out I didnt know that. I guess I was wondering today when I looked at my equifax and there was no inq from amex on it. Although the inq on my experian did not drop my score at all I noticed although it didnt rise at all when a large payment on my cc came in.

I went there today but they didnt have what I was looking for, thanks for the heads up though. Ill probably end up putting 20% down at weisfields since they have the same deal for 12 months. Ive got my hopes up there because they are their own bank and she said they have a very high approval rate so we'll see...

Unless you're floating up there in the mid- to upper-700's, a couple of inq's shouldn't hurt that much. Once the scores get on up there, there's a greater penalty. I guess FICO assumes that at that point, you have all the credit you need.

Luckily, I don't have to worry about that for a while! Smiley Very Happy
