Indeed. I'll be comparing USAA & NFCU.

A house wouldn't be possible at all if I didn't have the no-funding fee VA loan option available, but I've got two possible funding sources that go to bat for vets. Yay!

Just over a year now... but it is secured. Only way I could get an AMEX so soon after a BK.

Re: 2015 Financial Resolutions

Here are mine (at least as it relates to credit and credit cards):

  • Garden: I have all the cards I want so unless my needs changed drastically, I don't see myself needing new cards. I got 3 new cards this year (Discover IT, Orbitz Visa, Marriott Premier Rewards Visa), and I am going to let them age. Getting a few soft pull CLIs wouldn't be bad either.
  • Consolidate: I am more and more convinced that for my spending and travel habits, Orbitz is going to be a better fit than Marriott, so sometime before the Marriott card's annual fee hits next year, I will probably move the limit to my Amazon card and close the Marriott card.
