I don't think I've ever seen anyone post about this before, so I figured I would. I think most know from the Amex 3X CLI thread that when requesting a CLI with Amex online if you are prompted to provide IV with the amount you put in, you can X-out or back out and submit another, lower request amount.
Well, I did this the other day 21 times in a row, as I dropped my request amount by $1000 from $50k to $40k, then went down in $500 increments from $39,500 downward until I received an approval ($35k). I found it hilarious that I had a giant stack of 21 letters from Amex in my mailbox about 5 days later, all of them requesting IV for the amounts that I backed out of.
IV = income verification?
I am surprised the computer didn't catch that and spit it out to someone to review. Congrats on the increase!
Bless your heart! Aren't you special.... oh, it's just being persistent! Why not just provide it and get your $50K? I'm going to hit them up tomorrow just for giggles to bump up from $50K.

LOL. I don't really want $50k; my target goal with Amex is $40k. I just started high as to make sure I didn't leave anything on the table. Perhaps I can get the last $5k I'm looking for in 6 months. If not, ultimately I could provide IV, I just didn't feel like going through it this time around.
This is one of the greatest threads ever. Seems like it should be a sticky next to the definitive 3X CLI thread.
