$250 CSR Retention Credit

Just got off the phone with Chase.  Annual fee hits Feb 1., and I called asking about my options.  The rep talked about downgrading and I asked about a retention offer.  He came back with "oh, yes, a $250 statement credit."  Of course, I took it.

Data points:

Annual spend ~$50k

Bank with Chase

1st request for a retention offer.

Good luck to all of you, it is worth the 5 minute call!

I got it when it came out.  So even with the travel credits, they have made some $$ off annual fees.  I have never carried a balance with the card though.
