2K CLI + 1 more CC with Balance: FICO down 6 Points

The "bucket" thing may be right. Back in August when I began disputing and repairing my credit, my scores ranged form 585 EX-597 EQ-612 TU. Really didn't have much terrible (3-5 30 day lates, 1 collection and 1 public record which had been paid 10 years ago but was never deleted).

Fairly quickly the collection and public record were removed and my 30 day lates were just about all removed. Currently only have 1 on each report (though they're from 2 different cc's).

Scores rose after a few months to 640-693. At 693- EQ I applied for a Citi card and was approved. Waited 2 months and at 720-EX applied for BOA and was approved, but "only" for $3,500.00.

After 30 days and paying in full on my new BOA account, I requested a CLI via their website from 3,500 to $10,000. Approved the next day and have been thrilled with them since.

Somehow, this sub-prime guy has graduated and today my scores are:

EQ 775

EX 783 (down 6 points from last month after 1 new cc balance of $4.00 appeared!!!)

TU 707 (recently disputed 3 cc's that haven't been updated in 4 months)

My new bucket is finnicky but I'm not complaining!!!

I'll keep the novice tag for now. I'll always remember my sub-prime status and know I'm only a few steps away from going down the ladder again. Have learned much here, but still look to you guys for the real expertise.

That's why Timothy has me a little concerned with his comments earlier about disputing balances with the bureau's. I disputed TU for 3 accounts that are still showing large balances. I'll let you know how it goes and I'm hoping my TU will be over 750 in a few weeks...

Seems TU just zapped one of my good open accounts for no reason- WITHOUT any dispute-

I noticed it was missing on Credit Secure this AM-

checked FICO and TU- and it's GONE-

No score change- YET

Sorry to hear that Timothy. As far as I'm concerned, TU is borderline corrupt in their practices. They were the toughest bureau I dealt with in getting a few negative items removed and now they just don't seem to update accounts with improved/0 balances. Not only haven't they updated 3 cc's to 0 balance after 4 months, my American Honda Finance car loan is now closing in on 3 month's without updating.

Maybe it's just me, but TU is atrocious!!!
