thanks all, I appreciate the responses. I will step back and look at it again Monday. As for the FR, I have no fear of Amex but since I am in the drivers seat right now if they should decide to be that nit picky, then I can always take my business somewhere else. Wow, empowering to say that

To be honest I think I would have app'd for both of those AMEX on the same day, but I understand situations change and you probably were not looking for another card at that time. I would caution though after an app spree, I wouldnt be appling for a second card as yout changes for a F/R are probably pretty high. If it wasnt AMEX I dont think it would be an issue but beware!
What is the basis of saying this? F/R is a fairly rare thing from my understanding.
OP stated they went on an app spree prior to applying for AMEX and is now applying for a second AMEX as far as I understood it (correct me if I am wrong OP!). It stands to reason if this is true when all those cards start to report (depending on how many cards are involved) when AMEX soft the OP's report there is a higher risk for F/R.
Higher risk, sure. But I wouldn't say the chances are pretty high that it will happen.
Yes, I definately agree with you there.
