Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Occasionally, someone will mention they just got their 3% cash back credit card. I don't know if I am searching incorrectly, but I have not been able to find such a card. Therefore, decided I would ask the members of this forum. TIA for any info.
There are different cards that will get you 3% on specific categories. For example, the AMEX Blue Cash Everyday card will get you 3% cashback at a lot of groceries stores.
What is your specific spend? For example:
Dining?
Fast Food?
Groceries?
Travel?
With that info, people can chime in here and point you towards the right direction. Also, what city are you in? There may be some banks and/or credit unions that people can suggest based on your location.
There is no permanent 3% credit card, however they are three that I can think of that earn 3% for the first year.
Discover IT Miles - 1.5% up front, 1.5% match after a year with no cap
HSBC Cash Rewards - 3% cash back for the first $10K in the first 12 months
CFU - 3% cash back for the first $20K in the first 12 months
I suspect we will start seeing these types of offers a lot more as banks try to make a profit while still offering sign up bonuses.
Thank you both. I do have groceries covered. It is all the other purchases, such as clothing, doctor bills, etc., that I am hoping to find a 3% card.
I don't know what HSBC and CFU stand for. Will you clairify, please.

Which cards do you already have?
Congrats on the gardening.
Are you looking for a no Annual Fee card that gives 3%?
For some doctor bills, it may be useful to ask if you can get a 3% discount for paying cash quickly. With certain operations this might work.

*A few BofA cards give 2.62%+ but come with various restrictions, including a requirement of $100k in assets there (including stocks and retirement, etc...not just cash).
BoA & Huntington Bank Voice are 2 that have categories you can select for 3% CB. BoA allows it to 2.5K ea quarter and 2K at HB.
