So, for some reason, I stopped getting email notifications about this thread, after my last post. I logged in last night and saw everything that's happened with this card in the last couple of weeks!
I went to my USAlliance app to see if the credit card application had anything left about the 3% card. It didn't, so I backed out of the app.
Today, I got a call from Ian about the unfinished application. When i told him the card I wanted no longer showed up in the app, he said "the visa signature was removed because of the Covid-19 disaster and we hope to offer it again before the year ends".
May just be a line of bs or maybe this card didn't fall victim to the MyFico effect!

I would go for "line of ...." possibility! Not sure what is different about this card rather than the others that make is covid-sensitive
ETA: unless he meant that they were getting too many applications with reduced staff, which could give some credit to MyFico
@Kforce wrote:I talked to them, and found out minimum for redemption is $25.
Redemption in $25 dollar steps, 25,50,75,100.
I dragged my feet and missed out. I hope they bring this card back. Question for those with the card. Is the cash back available as ACH to checking account or Check in the mail? If they ever open up applications again I will go for it if the cash back is ACH or Check in the mail. I do not like statement credits.
I have subscribed to this thread and will continue to read every post to see if everything is in order with this credit union. I hope everyone is grandfathered in at the 3% rate if they closed the apllications for good.
Maybe this statment > This is a limited time offer, subject to change at any time < meant they can pull the 3% offer anytime but once you are in you are grandfathered in at 3%? Wishful thinking!
Bring it back later this year if you are reading this thread USALLIANCE ![]()

Will let you know after rewards post and I do my first redemption.
Had the card for only a day and have ~$700 spend on it.
Should have an answer next month

Thank you.
@Anonymous wrote:Not sure what is different about this card rather than the others that make is covid-sensitiveI took it that they had maybe been uncertain about the viability of the card and didn't want to chance it during the current crisis, but we will never really know why they pulled it (even if they bring it back)!
Same, will have to let you know next month.
Just put my tuition on it, if we get the 3% it will help offset some transaction charges.
I just took a look and it has a lot of options.
The trade for gift cards has a lot of card options but most at 14,400 points for $100 card (Not so good)
Both statement credit and transfer.
The wording is such that I don't know if it would transfer to your linked payment account or your savings/checking with USAlliance.
I am the opposite and like statement credit and never link an external account with the credit card issuers
I push from external CU/bank with billpay (ACH) transfer.
Someone else that pays this card from a linked account will need to be the quine pig.
Thank you Kforce.
It's looks like the redemption options covers what I like "cash deposit to your credit union account". Then I can move the funds to main bank account.
Thanks for sharing.
So I received my card today. Even though I had to add my wife as joint owner, she didn't receive a card, have to see why!
Added to Samsung Pay, verification code sent to my home phone, which isn't that useful, despite having my mobile number on the account. So had to call, she asked for the last 4 digits of my savings account, which didn't work, so I offered last 4 of member number, which did.
At first, when I tested pay, it said I had no routing number and there was no option to edit. So I called and now there is so that is set up.
One slightly positive tech thing: when opting for e-statements, there is a PDF code verifier, you click and it pops up a PDF doc with a code that you need to enter. Don't remember that before (usually just a link to download Adobe!)
So still too much work but now done!
