My personal experience isn't real positive. Got the card 11/14 with $1500. Used very heavily in Dec using 5% online bonus combined with and Discover Deals. For that heavy spend they gave me a $200 CLI in mid-Jan. I thought it was a typo. I wasted a hard pull a month later with a goal of $10K and got $3200 (long story). I like the card, but the hard pull experience soured me on them. I did a similar thing with Citi in a shorter time frame and much less spending and they gave me $10K. I've read the threads on here, some people do well; some don't. I put myself in the don't class.

Each profile is different . There's no set time that they give everyone a cli . You just have to keep trying .
Oh, I certainly understand that.

I got mine in August of last year at a SL of $3K. Racked up multiple 2 day denial notices and/or we need hard pulls. Got a $250 auto bump in January. Then:
3.30 CLI of $1000 to $4250
4.15 CLI of $1000 to $5250
5.1 CLI of $1000 to $6250
Guess what I'll be doing on 5.15?

You guys are late for the party!!They've been in an extra giving mood for a couple months now. The trend seems to be success every 2 weeks.

Sure glad I stopped by and read this thread because I would never have tried for another increase. Got another 1k increase today! My last increase was given by hitting the luv button last month (1k).. I can not believe how generous Discover is lately! Thanks everyone for posting your attempts and results. Congrats to those who received increases and for those not successful, hang in there!
At age 54 I got my first Discover card in January and they gave me $9.5k limit and 10.9% APR after the promotional period. I hit the "LUV button" on 4/15 - $1k increase. I only waited a week and tried the Luv button again and was denied. I'm going to be away next week and decided to call Discover instead. I asked if it was HP or SP. He said it would be SP unless they need some further reason to HP and would tell me first. He congratulated me and said I was approved for another $1k today. So, I will tray again on 5/20 with the Luv button. This is becoming by far my favorite rewards card.
I did learn a couple of things tonight. When he asked me about income I told him between my wife and I what our combined income is. He said he had to look at a chart and said that for Pennsylvania, I can only report my annual income. I said well that's interesting, I'd never heard that before, which I never read discussed here on myFICO. He asked me if we have a mortgage and I affirmed we do but told him my wife and I both share the payment, so he ran it as $600 instead of $1,100. So, that's what I'll do in the future too.
