Something similar just happened with me. I forgot the statement date fell on a weekend this month, so the balance ended up reporting to the CRAs. My score dropped around 25 points. It's a bummer to see. But I do know that it will rebound next month, when I pay *before* the statement cuts and it reports a zero balance.
This has happened with other CCs that I intentionally let balances report. Don't worry.
I completely believe it. I've seen about a 30-40 score drop with a couple of hundreds increase in balance reported on a statement. It should go back up when your next statement is reported.

So, surprisingly, when I received my statement it was showing $950 due! After calling them, they informed me that they put $700 on my savings account!!!!! Wow. I had them immediately transfer that to pay off the balance. However, the damage has already been done -- 50 point drop across the board.
How can I get this fixed? Do I call/fax the 3 credit bureaus? Also, are there any negatives to attempting to have it fixed?
So is this reporting late??
