7x the points

So I am looking to book a hotel for a romantic trip( I am proposing). Now I was going to use Chase UR mall because they have a 5x the points for booking with Hotels.com, so with my CSP that's a total of 7x the points per dollar. Now I ran into a conundrum. I would really like a king size bed considering the occasion but the only way to guarantee that bed size is to book with the hotel directly(It's a Starwoods property). So should I take the 7x points per dollar by using the CSP and gamble on the bed size.  Or book directly through Starwoods but miss out on all those Chase UR points? I can't decide

Book through hotels. Com get your points. . Then call hotel with reservation number in hand, Tell them you want to confirm king size was chosen and make sure to tell them your proposing and to give you corner room !! Lol. Congrats and good luck. ..

Hotels.com lets you pick your room type in my experience.

Thanks guys . This time hotels.com only shows a queen for this room. I'm going to just get the points and call the hotel directly to plead my case for a king bed.  Hopfully this will be an amazing trip, and the king bed will just be a bit of icing on the cake

You're proposing.  If the King bed is important/will make it more special, forego the extra 5x points.  Best of luck!

Email the general manager of the property and explain the occasion. Let them know that you would like a king bed and ask them to confirm.
