A few questions please, about the FNBO Getaway card...

A few questions please, about the FNBO Getaway card:

(1)  I know that with very few exceptions, almost all FNBO cards are geo-restricted to FNBO's localized banking branch footprint in the U.S.  Does anyone know by any chance if the Getaway card is likewise geo-restricted, or can people in the U.S. across all 50 states potentially app for it?

(2)  For persons that may already have existing credit cards with FNBO, does this possibly increase the prospective likelihood of them approving an app, for the Getaway card?

(3)  For people who may already have the card:  have you liked or have had a positive experience, with the card so far?

From what I can tell so far of the card, after checking out the website, this could make for a nice backup of my WF Propel AMEX card, minus the Propel 3% cashback feature for streaming purchases, if WF ever decides to nerf or eventually eliminate the Propel for grandfathered Propel card holders.  Also, since FNBO forcibly PC'd all of their Travelite Amex cards to VISA some months ago and eliminated the 3% cashback benefit on travel (tbh, I almost kinda wonder why FNBO didn't choose to convert their discontinued Travelite cards to the Getaway card, since they both feature(d) 3% cashback on travel, etc.?).

Re: A few questions please, about the FNBO Getaway card...

Re. 1: In the past if you entered a ZIP code that FNBO didn't want to deal with, you got a message telling you no. For the Getaway card, ZIPs out of their footprint (I tested an NJ zip) redirect you to the prequal page, so it looks like it's not geofenced.

Other than that, I'd just like to pile on my disappointment that they didn't shift Travelite accounts to the Getaway card. It should have been easy to do and would have kept us interested after the transition.

You can see if you can pre-qualify online.

(2)  For persons that may already have existing credit cards with FNBO, does this possibly increase the prospective likelihood of them approving an app, for the Getaway card? No. Having other FNBO products doesn't nudge the odds of approval as each application is independent of others, even if you decided to obtain a duplicate product. It's all profile-specific.

(3)  For people who may already have the card:  have you liked or have had a positive experience, with the card so far? You can search the Approvals section to see who's been approved for this specific one, if anything. I believe I've seen a couple or so.

Because the partnership relationship with the network had ended and it's unlikely that they were able to iron out a solid strategy and rewards structure by the time they decided to launch this particular product on the MC network. The same thing happened with a variety of prior FNBO AmEx partner cards that had independent rewards structures such as the SavingStar AmEx, for example. All the AmEx network CCs were eventually converted to Visa.

I agree with finstar.
I have their evergreen for about a year now, with a balance on it. Pay on time and applied for the gataway. I received a letter in mail requesting last 2 years W2's, copy of drivers license, copy of social security card.

no immediate approval.

@galahad15

I do not know whereabouts your income is, but I see that you have two BucksBack Visa's from FNBO currently. I would think that if you have a more typical income, these two cards with a combined $103,500 exposure could impeed a third card.

Have you considered inquirying about a product change on the $18,500 BucksBack to a Getaway?

FNBO will not PC between networks (e.g. V>MC or viceversa).

Although, you brought up a good point. FNBO overall exposure would likely be an issue if >$100K for any new FNBO CCs, unless UW guidelines allow for specific exceptions if the OP has considerable income. The odd thing is that FNBO can auto-CLI beyond the overall exposure limit, but would likely deny any new applications if exposure is at the max.

Sucks they won't PC this from their Visas. I have two of the same Cards from them (the 2% Cashback Evergreen Visa Sig).
