So... after my app spree last weekend, I have been rushing home every day after work to check the mail (yes, even Monday when there was no damn mail, bwahahaha). I'm super excited to see all my pretty new cards (expecting 5 in total - even that ugly Sportsmans card )
Anyway - low and behold - I finally pulled an envelope out of the box with the coveted words "Important Information Regarding Your Account Enclosed"
<Insert happy dance - woooooop>
Rush inside, crack open a beer (kidding - well not really) - start opening envelope. It's a paper card. Like the ones the insurance companies send you. I'm all "what the...... wait..... oh yeah.... amazon.com is a virtual store. No need to show anyone this shiny one.
Into the sock drawer it goes (at least till xmas...hehehehehe)
Nah, I have had the Chase Visa for Amazon since 2008 (no CLI in that entire time BTW) $400 limit
I got the Amazon Store card after hearing about the GE luv
Yeah, I found it odd to even get one physically.. I mean I guess if you need to call in you have the account #, But it's automatically linked to your account (You can't remove it) lol.

OT, but not sure those words are always coveted, they are often in documents describing the "exciting" changes that are going to nerf your card! I just got one yesterday for Fidelity Amex, and I thought "Oh oh, going to change the rewards from 2% to 1.5% or something" but it was a fairly minor change this time (min payment becomes $25 or full balance, whichever is less).
Newegg sent me a real card when I got their Newegg Preffered card (also features billmelater branding). Black plastic card... feels like any other average CC, magnetic strip and all. Obviously can't use it anywhere though besides newegg!
(Got a $2k CL for a $1k purchase I made, 12mo 0% apr... once it's paid off I'll never touch the account again. Curious to see if they'll close it for me or not).

You know what, That's my favorite looking card =P! But yeah, I don't carry it, Because it's useless.
Actually, It's great to keep using it for electronics. NewEgg has some of the better deals on computer components, It's how I made my gaming PC. Half NewEgg half Amazon (approved for both same day, luckily) I always tend to use the $250 6 month no interest option, It's awesome!

I like using Newegg, but I'd rather use other cards that actually can rack me up some rewards for future purchases with them. I could afford to spend a grand at the time, but I'd rather stretch it out if I can... for free! Discover's 5% on online shopping this quarter? Heck yes!
What makes me confused is when I try to check out again... I can't seem to select my Newegg card again, I hit the preferred tab and it wants me to apply for a new card to get 0% on my next purchase... as it seems the APR promo is attached to the item I bought and not on the actual card. I could manually type my preffered CC number in but it looks like I wouldn't get the apr deal on any new purchases.

That is very true in deed as long as you're not expecting a new shiny pretty card in the mail. LOL.
I just recently received something from BOA in regards to the same thing with minimum payments changing as well. Same deal with the minimum payment. Actually lowered - the minimum before was $35 and is now $25. Trying to tax our interest even more. Doesn't matter when you PIF. On this one I do. (Cash rewards vs. 0% APR)
I actually have an embossed Amazon.com store card (GE) from 2008. Again, not sure why they issued it when it is only used online.
