Just saw this statement under "How we verify" info on Experian:
"If an investigation results in a change to your credit report, you may request that we send the updated information to any credit grantors who have reviewed your information in the past six months (twelve months for Colorado, Maryland and New York) and to any company that reviewed your information in the past two years for employment purposes."
Does anyone know if the other CRA's do this for cards you may have been declined for? Would this be a way to bypass another hard inquiry?
Not sure how that would relate to INQs but IMHO as you applied for the credit and then asked for a recon, I don't think you could get INQs removed.
No, I mean if you were declined due to an error on your CR and you fix it, some places require another hard hit for recon. But the statement say the CRA will mail out another report, at the cardmembers request to the company that originally did the inquiry that led to your decline.
Even if declined based on false information on your CR I don't think you can get the INQ removed.

I think I understand what you're asking. You want to know if the CRA would mail a new CR to the Creditor that you applied to, which you were previously denied credit cause of "errors" on your CR, but now that you've fixed them, have them take a look at your fresh CR without having to apply again and cause another HP?
Yes, 2NE1, that's what I'm saying. I wasn't aware until today that Experian would do that. I'm curious if this will be prevent a 2nd inquiry not remove one.
