AA FROM PENFED

PENFED just balanced chased me on my Gold card. 7500 to 5600 leaving me 242 available credit.I recently went above 50 pct total utilization on my portfolio as a whole due to divorce lawyer charges and dental work, I guess they got spooked.

In the next few months my income will go up by 12,000 a year due to a pension I will be collecting and I have plans to pay down my balances.

Thanks, I never intended to take on that debt, but it was unavoidable. I needed a divorce to collect my 2 pensions, I was separated 28 years, and my ex was entitled to a piece of them. I had to first hire a lawyer for the divorce and a 2nd lawyer for the QDRO document needed to collect the pensions. Lawyers in my area charge 500 an hour. At the same time, I needed major dental work which could no longer wait, and dentists are not cheap either. Thank God I had the credit to tackle those 2 things, now it will be a long multi year slog to pay it down.

You'll get it back down, and in life we all have to do what we have to do. Once it's paid back down, call into credit and explain the situation and and see if you can't get the CL reinstated. Or, if you have another CC with a higher CL with a BT offer available, BT that from PF.
