Well this card is easier to get approved for, even tho I was approved for the Gold AAdvantage a couple weeks prior. This card is technically a store card so they are normally easier to get

Icyhot - it is not "technically" a store card.  It is a payment plan credit card.  This is part of Citi's private label array of cards (in partnership with AA) which offer alternative financing.

Re: AA Fly Now Payment Plan

I have this card. I burned citi in bankruptcy so I was doubtful of ever getting a product from them. After being denied Home Depot I read someone on this forum burned them and got this card. I was approved after a verification call for $2500. After about a month of having this card I started getting pre approvals for shell gas cards and now Home Depot. So hopefully it is working towards getting me back in with citi.

Re: AA Fly Now Payment Plan

I was approved with $2500 also. I call it a store card because it can be used for more than just flights. Admirals Club memberships, checked baggage fees and upgrades. Just no in-flight purchases

I thought it was mastercard. Why can't you use for purchases in flight. Weird. Maybe it's differentcard than what I see online

Taxi, you're thinking about the AAdvantage card, OP is referring to the American Airlines credit card

Re: AA Fly Now Payment Plan

Thanks for the clarification. Yes. I was thinking AAvantage. There are 4 cards. From gold to platinum. Gold with 50 AF. My bad. I see this is for just American Airlines. Almost like store card. Smiley Happy I see. Fin said its not however.
