Re: AAOA....HELP

Closing them will not change your aaoa or take them as a TL off your credit report. Sorry.

Re: AAOA....HELP

+1

Closing them will just show a new TL on your report that is "closed by consumer".  It will still affect your AAoA closed or open.  Keep the new cards and let them age.  In the long run they will actually help your AAoA years down the road when applying for new credit.  Smiley Happy

Re: AAOA....HELP

I believe you can close an account right after approval if you changed your mind, for example if you weren't happy with the APR you recieved, but not sure if a TL still reports or not. I would ask the issuer about the 2 that haven't reported yet.

In almost all cases when you open an account it will end up on your credit reports, even if you close it before you activate / receive.

Re: AAOA....HELP

Pizza dude is right. I had a similar case when got approve from local CU for 10k and didn't like the APR so I closed it. It now shows on all my credit reports..
@pizzadude does this stay on for 10 yrs as a positive TL and will this affect me when it does fall off?

Yes ~ closed accounts typically hang around for about 10 years from the date they close.    When it falls off it could possibly lower your AAoA.

Consider these things before applying.  You can easily calculate AAoA impact.  At this stage your only option is to let them age.

Re: AAOA....HELP

Smiley Happy  FIXED IT .... Explained my situation to the CSR and my unhappiness with the CL that were given. Told them that opening these accounts were a mistake and could I please have them removed .

Surely the rep OK it and said in 30-45 days it would be removed.

Happy smiles thanks to the CSR "ALEX" Heart
