AMEX 3X CLI time has come?

Alright so my mother opened up her first American Express, a BCE account on January 3rd 2013 ( after getting offers every week to apply for the no annual fee version and get $250 cash back after spending $1,000) and was instantly approved for starting limit of $14,100.

In her first month, she had statement balance of $226.86 (statement closing date was January 14th 2013). She paid in full.

Second month she had statement balance $744.29 (statement closing date was February 11th 2013). She has already paid in full.

Her next closing date is March 14th 2013. She hasn't used the card since (so $0 balance).

I pulled her Experian credit report today for her and it seems AMEX hasn't soft pulled her since January 9th 2013 (not to mention, that was the only soft pull that shows on there in addition to the hard pull they did when she applied on January 3rd).

Should she request the 3X CLI increase now and how much should she request. Her reported income when she applied was $60,000. Also is it better to do it online or call customer service and request it?

I did mine online just so I didn't have to deal with a rep, I believe the online or phone system will only let you ask for up to 25k, anything over that and you will have to talk to a rep.

Yeah I know that anything over 25K usually requires or triggers an FR.

So should she do $25,000 or $24,999 or $24,900?

Or wait after this month's statement cuts on March 14th?

I think she should ask for 25k.

My Amex Lowes starting limit was 22k so I decided not to ask at all...  she may be in that same boat where she doesn't really need a higher limit but I think that 25k is doable if she wants to go that route.

Online seems to be fine...  by the way, should be your mom requesting, not you unless you have her consent and she's sitting there with you

Yeah she gave me consent. I set her online account and everything up for her.

24,900 is a good number
