So I looked and really couldn't find a direct answer to this question.
How sensitive is AMEX in granting 61 day CLIs (not necessarily 3x) with two or more other new accounts reporting? Hope I didn't ding my chances by spree-ing.
I think they are sensative to new accounts because I put 1,000 dollars thru my blue card in two months and paid in full but I had three new accounts report so they rejected it. You can always try though.
My initial spree was 3 cards at the end of January. Second spree was 3 more cards: Start of April, April 20th (BCE) and start of May. I was able to get my 3X at day 61.
EDIT: actually, read this post for exact details on my BCE spending and CLI requests:
I was denied my 61 day CLI and the 90 day CLI afterwards.
Probably because the amount of new accounts that I added.
I opened FOUR (4) new credit cards by the time I received my 6-month CLI. from Amex. Details as follow:
1. Opened my Amex BCE in March, 2013. ($5K beginning CL)
2. Opened 3 CC's in May 2013.
3. X61-day CLI in June 2013 - asked for and received $7.5K CLI ($12.5K total CL)
4. Opened 1 more CC in October 2013.
5. 6-Month CLI in December 2013 - asked for and received $11.5K CLI ($24K total CL.
Don't know if my 15-year Member status with Amex had any bearing in assuaging their "comfort zone" with me?
EDIT - My average monthly charge for my Amex BCE card has been less than $100.00, in case one would want to know.

That's because there's no one-size-fits-all answer to such questions. One's credit is the major factor. Person A with 2+ new accounts could get a CLI while Person B with 2+ new accounts might not.
I had several new cards between opening my BCP and the 61 day CLI. That doesn't guarantee anything with regard to your situation though.
