AMEX 61 Day CLI on Two Cards?

Hi everyone,

So, back in October I hastily applied for an AMEX Gold Delta Skymiles card.  To my complete & utter shock, I was approved.  I had been planning on aplying for a BCE maybe next Summer but this night I was up a little late & had a few glasses of wine & thought "oh, what the heck".  lol  I applied for the Delta because I kept reading this was the easiest one to get.  Anyway, as soon as I was approved I was both thrilled & disappointed that I didn't go ahead & apply for the card I really wanted...the BCE Pref.  Well, after a day or two of thinking about it, I applied for the blue & got approved again!  They actually gave me the "pending" message which made me VERY nervous but after about a week they approved it & sent it out.

So, here's my question.  My main card I use is the BCE & I def. want the 3x CLI (or, however much I can get) on Jan 1st but I'm wondering can I also get the CLI with the gold as well?  I don't use that card very often but it's got a higher limit than the Blue and if I can have that one go up 3x (or, even 2x), it'll really help my utilization.

The gold is up first but should I try for the CLI with the Blue first, see what happens & then go the for gold?  Or, should I just try for the blue & let the CLI with the gold go (b/c I honest to goodness don't know how I got approved for one...let alone 2...& I DON'T want to push my luck with AMEX!).

To give you short answer.  No. 1 cli across all accounts. No matter how many cards you got. If approved. Every 181 days. If declined. You can try again in 90 days

I think the other consideration is, you have to let the CL on one AMEX card season for 13 statements before you can move it to another card.

What are the limits on the two cards?

You only get the 3X CLI once every 6 months for any card, and so you should understand the fine print prior.

Waaaait so if I opened a Costco TE 2 months ago and today I get a 3xCLI and open a BCE, I won't be able to 3xCLI the BCE 61days after account opening???

That is correct. You will have to wait another 4 months from the one you got 2 months ago.
