Well, as I stated in another post I would try for a cli after 61 days, and today was the day. My starting credit line was $12,000 and I asked for $25,000 but was shot down on that figure. Amex came back with a counter of $13,300, which I accepted since it is better than nothing. Now I am not complaining. I went from nothing to $13,300 in just 61 days. It goes to show you that a great score alone does not guarantee you are going to get the max line you ask for. I have used my BCE card a lot in the last 2 months and PIF 5 times during those 2 months. I am sure they feel that I am still too new of a customer. Also, this was the 61st day after approval, not activation. Just thought I would share my experience on this topic since it has been raised several times before on the forum.
In addition to having good credit, it is also income related, i.e. whether they feel comfortable extending you a larger line of credit with the income you are reporting. I didn't know about asking for a CLI at 61 days. The first time I asked was at 6 months and it was immediately shot down b/c they felt the credit line was sufficient for my income.
COngrats on the CLI ! I'm sure that they will bump you up, just give it another 6 months or so....
Congrats...that's still a nice bumped and no HP.
My BCP is coming up on 61 days and a CLI is in order for me
Edit: BTW...what was the Util % on the card when you request the CLI? Did you have a balance? How much did you put through the card in those 2 months?

I don't know exactly how much I spent in the 2 months I had the card. I would guess about $2,000 - $2.500. I PIF every week. I had a zero balance when I asked for the cli this morning. My last PIF was yesterday. I hope you get the cli you want. Good luck.
