AMEX BCE Sign Up Bonus Question

I applied for the AMEX BCE through the American Express Website and was approved a couple weeks ago. I didn't see the sign up bonus for spend a thousand get a 100 dollar credit. However, I just found out that the creditcards.com website has the bonus if you apply through them. Had I known that, I would have used that site to apply. My question is this: Is there anyway that I can call American Express and mention the creditcards.com site bonus and ask them to put that bonus on my card after the fact. Has anyone been able to do that? I would appreciate any input. Thanks!

Re: AMEX BCE Sign Up Bonus Question

You can try, but I don't think you'll have any luck.

A few people on this forum were able to get them to match the $250 welcome bonus for the BCP, but as always, YMMV. Good luck!

Re: AMEX BCE Sign Up Bonus Question

When I compare the cards on the Amex website I see a promotion that says you can earn 100 reward dollars after spending $1000. Wouldn't this be the same promotion, or is the CreditCard.com promotion in addition to this?

Re: AMEX BCE Sign Up Bonus Question

When I click on the site it doesn't have that bonus. Maybe its targeted to certain regions.

Re: AMEX BCE Sign Up Bonus Question

I signed up with the $100 bonus. Then, very briefly, days later, Amex was offering $150 on its own site. I emailed to ask if I could get the larger bonus. They told me to check back once I'd met that $1k minimum spend and they would consider it.

You have to use the CardMatch tool and enter your name and address (no SSN required) and it'll give you the offer then.
