AMEX BCE app in progress?

I applied for the Amex BCE and was denied called to recon and the lady told me they would look into it when I check the Amex website for card status it says in progress from the original app date of 7/17 how long does this take its killing me also is citi easy to recon or do they stick with there decisions

Sometimes it can take awhile but I would make a call
