AMEX CLI Question

About to ask for the 61 day CLI from AMEX - can you have a balance or should it be paid off prior to submitting the request?  Thanks!

It doesn't make a difference if you have a balance unless it's like 80% of your limit.

You can request with a balance!

Thanks for the response - I don't have a high balance, but was just wondering if it impacted the request or not.
