Hey all,
I haven't requested a credit limit increase in quite a while on my Amex BCE (15.1k) and I have the urge to push it higher if possible. The thing is, I have relatively high utilization that won't be fully paid off for awhile (took advantage of 0% APR to remodel portions of my condo).
My question is, if I ask for a CLI to say, $25k, and they either deny me or give me a low CLI, will I only receive a SP if they deny or if I decline the CLI?
Not that I necessarily would decline the CLI, but just out of curiosity. Thanks!
YMMV but in 99% yes it will be a SP for a CLI
So go get em and good luck
Received the you will receive a written response in 7-10 days message.
Ideas?
You changed your post/edit I would get UTL down before requesting a CLI with Amex

Check email that message is not always a denial
We have seen cases of getting a email with an approval after getting that message
Good luck
Edited "of" to "off" in my edit.

Or a request for you to send a 4506T. Just happened to me, got the 7-10 day message about 4 days ago, and today got the 4506T
