Just tried to do a 2nd CLI and it didn't work. lol... I went from 4500 to 13000 on the 1st go (after 60 days) which was about 5 months ago. I just did another CLI at 25,000 and it was denied. Not that I need it, but I was more curious than anything. Has this been your experience as well? Payments always on time. low balance etc etc.
This is for the blue cash preferred btw.
If you get a CLI from Amex, the next request should be 180 days = 6 months.
Traditionally, you can't apply for a CLI for 181 days after the most recent success or 91 days after the most recent failure, whichever ends up being the later date. I don't know if this is still valid.
You have to wait at least 6 months between CLI I believe. Auto denial being it was only 5 months.
Oopsie... did I reset the timer now, or can I try again at the 6 month mark? I just looked btw, it was on 12/10/14 I did the 3x CLI request.
Wait 91 days

I think you trigger the 90 day timer. You would have been open for a CLI on June 9th. However, I think that the rejection will now be the dominant date, which, if you applied today, means you can apply again on August 22nd.
No, he doesn't need to wait 91 days. The early try does not reset the counter. He can try again when he hits the 6 month mark from his original CLI.
