Re: AMEX CLI!

I was recently approved for the awesome AmEx Platinum card, so I also asked for a CLI on my AmEx Costco card in which case based off reading the forum I was going big so my old and original CL was 7900 and I asked for 20 they countered with 16,400!  I accept woohooo!  I guess in 6 months I'll try again for the 20 but maybe just go for the whole 25 and take the counter offer!

Re: AMEX CLI!

I was approved for a CLI from 7500 to 20000 in 12/11. I never used more than 20% of the initial CL. But I love the security that a 20000 CL brings.I plan on working the card a little more but still staying in PIF range. maybe carry a >500 balance.  If (AND ONLY IF) its another soft pull, Ill try to squeeze a 25000 CL out of them this summer.

I just discovered these boards only a handful of months ago but have read up on some truly valuable advice. Today was the 6-month anniversary since my last Amex CLI. A couple months back I product changed my Amex Blue with 7.24% APR to an Amex Blue Cash Everyday while keeping my 7.24% APR. I learned about product changes here. So, using another piece of information I read here I decided to ask for double my current credit limit; something I would have never considered doing until reading these boards. I would usually request small incremental increases. Today I clicked the love button for my $10,000 limit to be increased to $20,000 and was instantly approved. Good stuff.

Thanks myFICO Forums!

Nice! 7.24 is a grandfathered apr. I have the lowest apr they can offer today which is 10.24 I bet you have an 800+ fico score.

Dang super nice wish I could have pushed the 20k mark but it's ok at least I'm still only 6 points from that 800 I want so it didn't kick me back any.  I am so close hope to hit it before the year is up!!
