Good day Ficoers! Not sure if anyone else experienced this but on my second Amex card, AMEX green, I received a weird email to call account services as I am reaching my allowed limit on the NPSL card or I will be temporarily suspended from charging. I never click on links in emails and called Monday morning about it. The rep tells me I have two Green cards and a AMEX BCE connected to my account. Uuhhhh! we have a problem, I explained to him I have one charge and one revolver. Well, they investigate and I use my Disco card in the mean time. I called for a status and and the second account item has been removed and I am good to use it as I see fit. by havign the attached account, that person was charging like a baller and limited my spending power. She couldnt tell me how it happened but glad I caught it very early and said it was not fraud(just a mistake whenever my green card was processed). My mom has the same initials and has her first name middle initial and last name just like I do on her AMEX items(she only has charge card with them) and I do not live with her. Has this happened to anyone else before?
They said it wasn't. I did pull my experian account to be sure I only had the hard pulls for AMEX and the application Status site as well. I talked to my Mom and she uses her Amex items for small things and travel. She didn't have any issues with her account. I was very uneasy when I called Monday. With FR everywhere. I should have asked for MR points for my troubles. Not having to file police reports, priceless.
Wow that's one I don't think I've heard of before! So glad it was figured out.

Another great reason to keep a check on your accounts if not daily every couple of days. Glad it worked out for you Swizz
I do that just to make sure my transaction from the last couple of days are posted and payments are smoothj. The CSR's I had from Pheonix where very cool and told me as I use my green card more and pay in full monthly, my internal limit gets higher and higher. I am not the one to press that on a charge card but its good to know.
