AMEX GOLD 3X MR on GAS OFFER?

Hi all,

I am not sure if this was adressed on this forum but I have noticed that I've been earning 3X points on my gas purchases since September. The thing is I don't remember activating any gas offer earning 2 additional points on gas purchases, besides being grandfathered on the 2X bonus category unitl Oct 2019. I thought the bonus category was 2X so 1 additional MR point. I mean I'm not complaining but I'm curious if anyone else has been earning this bonus category and if so have they been aware of any ongoing promotions?

It would be nice to know if there is any promotions going on and most importantly knowing when it ends to get the most out of it. I chatted with CSR but they weren't able to give me a straight answer. They just told me it's a targeted promotion but won't even give me a start date or an end date. So weird. Hopefully it's not a mistake.

It’s part of the Membership Rewards program. If you go into MR points on the website and then click the drop down to promotions you will see it.
It’s located where the transfer points bonuses are listed. No signup required.

I have the exact same promotion. It’s on Exxon Premium Gas only

I checked my special promotions but nothing in gas only like hotels stuff. Do you know when it ends or did it already end?

its targeted I think you would have gotten it already , I also don't have it on either EDP and BCE for what its worth
