Yesterday I received a big fat envelope from AMEX tempting me to apply for the Gold card with the 50K MR SUB. Tempting, but easy for me to toss it in the shredder because I already get 4X dining and I only travel maybe once every two years. Doesn't pencil for me.
Also yesterday, I got a call from my local CU asking why I hadn't taken advantage of their CC offer. The lady on the phone said there wouldn't be a hard pull and I was already pre-approved for a $20K limit based on a SP and my income. I told her I may be interested and she emailed me the docs to proceed with the application. Then alarm bells sounded in my head. NO. I am gardening. This card....while it may have a great SL does absolutely nothing for me and my goals. Deleted the email with the docs.
ALMOST got swept up in the excitement of possibly my biggest SL ever. ALMOST. Not doing it. I have a plan in place. MUST stick to plan.
