AMEX Green question...

Just reading Amex site and saw something that Green Charge Card has Payment Flexibility now and can carry balance? Is that true? I know the new Rose Gold Amex has flexibility payment but the Green is now showing too. Maybe someone here can validate.

Re: AMEX Green question...

They've added the Pay over time to the charge cards, this isnt exactly a new feature though unless im missing something.

I believe its offered around the 6 month mark, although that could have changed recently.

The 6 month is just an average from the DP's ive seen, it can be shorter/longer depending on ones profile.

Re: AMEX Green question...

Correct, this is not a new feature.  My Platinum began life as "The American Express Card with Membership Rewards," (now simply called "The Green Card") and it looks like I added "Select and Pay Later," as it was called originally, in 2005 which was about 3 years after opening the account.  The other two types of Pay Over Time were added as they became available.

As a data point, I was offered Pay Over Time immediately when I applied for the PRG two weeks ago.  No other Amex cards except for two employee cards.  Ended up calling and canceling it bc apparently, they offer bonus points for signing up from time to time.
