Hello All -
In late August I had an offer for a $50 statement credit for a $250 or more flight purchased through AMEX Travel - I canceled a ticket with Expedia - and purchased it through AMEX - which came to $6.99 more because of their booking fee. No worries, I thought, since I would get a $50 credit. Well, I still have not gotten that credit. I called AMEX about 3 weeks ago- and the rep I spoke to insisted I did not have such an offer. After a few minutes, she found it and said that these credits usually take 6 weeks and that it will definitely post in 2-3 weeks. Well - still no credit. All my other offers posted within 2 weeks or so.
Has anyone had this experience when booking travel through AMEX? How did it work out?

Was this in the "Amex offers for you" section? I did one for a restaurant down here, immediately got an email when the waitress brought back my card about it, and got the credit maybe a day later. So it definitely doesn't take 6 weeks. Does it show the offer under like "redeemed offers" or whatever they call it?
Yes - that is exactly what it was. This is why I am so shocked that 6 weeks later it has not applied. They usually apply very quickly - This is the first I have ever used a travel offer, though, so I was wondering if things are different with the travel offers.

Yes it is taking longer than I have ever experienced mine has usually taken a day or so. Did you actually go on the trip yet? If I was Amex I wouldn't actually give the credit till after the vacation was booked.
Yes - The flight was the first week of September.
