Hello all,
I recently received my AMEX Zync card and when I initially signed into my account it displayed a $250 hard limit. It has been two days that I have had the card and it now displays NPSL. My question is will the hard limit fluctuate at times?
Chances are they gave you the hard limit until your actual card arrives so that you can use you card immediately. I had the same option, to receive my account number, and take a $250 hard limit but I passed. Mine is also NPSL. So I would imagine that once you get your card, that hard limit will cease to be on the account and it will revert back to NPSL.
Congrats on the approval!
Logan is correct, you have a NPSL ZYNC card, the limit was just temporary until it arrived.
Actually the day I received the card was the day I created my online account. I also opted out of receiving the "virtual" account number once I was approved and preferred to wait for the card and then create the account. That exact day I created the account was when it displayed the hard limit. Today, two days later after receiving the card it now has NPSL. So in your opinion I shouldn't worry about the NPSL being reverted back to the $250 hard limit?
No, I wouldn't. But you can always check your spending ability and it will either approve you to spend that amount, or deny you.
Thanks logan_720 and pizzadude for the quick responses.
I guess I'm a bit concerned that it would be reverted back, since I will be using this card for everday purchases and a $250 limit is hardly enough!
I would use it as a NPSL and wouldn't worry about it. But, you could send Amex a secure message or call them about it.
I don't think you should have any concern, I use mine on a daily basis and have never had a problem with acceptance o r anything like that. You could always give Amex a call to give you a clear understanding though, their customer service is some of the best in the business.
If they were going to slap you with a Hard Limit they would have done so when you applied ~ I have a $200 hard limit on my ZYNC, they declined me for a NPSL card but counter~offered a Hard Limit ZYNC.
