Couple of questions about things I've seen or experienced since my first and probably only app spree 10 days ago:
AMEX - is it normal for AMEX to SP someone BEFORE they even get or activate their card? They SP'ed (showing "American Express 2") the day before I received and activated the card. Should I be worried since I also opened two other new accounts and rec'd CLI's on all of my existing cards at the same time? I've been using the card for 3 days now and I haven't been scared to use it. I got it for gas, groceries and general spend and I've done just that. I've run about $310 through it already. I will PIF when the time comes.
Citi - unbelievably, Citi reported my new account to all three bureaus and I don't even have my card yet. I feel sure it'll be here Monday or Tuesday but do they normally report THAT fast? That seems really, really fast to me.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Amex Soft pulled every time i had a hard inquiry on my report. I had the Amex BCE since November and it Soft pulled me on my App's for the Amazon Visa card and Chase freedom ( got the Amazon) in February, Bank of America in January and my new signup of T-mobile.

I too was very shocked to see Citi reporting last week only 4 days after being approved for the card!
I also got my AMEX last week and didn't see a soft from them yet.

I guess Citi doesn't play when it comes to reporting which isn't a bad thing. It just surprised me since I don't have the card yet. As for AMEX, let the SP's begin. Being my first AMEX, it rattles me a bit but it is what it is.

I just checked this morning too and saw the soft from AMEX on the 19th. Got the card on the 21st, was approved on the 14th. Barclays reported my new account within 2 days of being approved.
Good info to keep in mind when apping in the future.

Citi reported my new account in less than a week after getting it. They report after the first statement is cut (even if you have not charged anything yet).

Right there with you guys.
I have an app spree planned but that's still almost 2 weeks away and I needed my Citi card sooner and wasn't sure if I was going to get it in time so I apped. I was hoping the new account wouldn't report until the statement cuts, but nope. Only took 3 days.
Got my congrats email on Friday the 21st, approved letter in the mail on Sat the 22nd. Of course, no card yet, hopefully some time this week.
It's good to know I'm not alone. I havent heard Citi was a chronic SPer like AMEX, though. Good to know.
Citi Dividend:
Applied 8/16/13
Received Approval email 8/19/13
Received Welcome package without card 8/21/13
Received card 8/23/13
Reported on CreditKarma 9/5/13
Reported on CreditSesame 9/6/13
One thing that may just be coincidental is that my statement cuts the 4th of every month. So the time that it shows up on your CR may have to do with your already determined cut date?
I'll see how long it takes my new Citi TYP to arrive and report.
