Re: AMEX.com FICO Score Updates

Mine have been on the 22nd of each month. Got an additional update on the 13th of April when I applied for the BCP. The one on 4/22 came through as usual.

Re: AMEX.com FICO Score Updates

OP and others are in the middle of applying for cards so I don't know if a hard pull will force the regular free FICO service to update as well. Post if you know.

Re: AMEX.com FICO Score Updates

Well I LOST my patience and decided to give it a go.  These were two of the final cards I wanted to add to my portfolio.  I am very glad that I received favorable decisions on both.  I applied first for the BCE and received message that it was being reviewed and I would get a decision by mail within 14 days. When logging into AMEX application status it asked that I callback in 24 hours.  I called and the first rep stated it had not been 24 hours and for me to callback.  Immediately hung up and called back this time rep asked to verify my Name, DOB and address.  Came back with a "Congrats you are approved for $5,000.00 and I don't want to make you wait so I will expedite the shipment of your card"!  I almost fell out of my chair.

I then continued with the last card I've been wanting and went for the AMEX PRG.  Filled it out and hit submit.... same message as BCE that I would be notified via mail in 14 days.  I logged into AMEX application status and same 24 hours message.  This message was very different from all my prior denials which stated a decision would be made and I would be notified in "7-14 days".

I decided to call in and was answered by a very professional CSR as well who verified the same info, she stated my app was only put on hold because they wanted to verify it was actually me applying.  She hit a few keys and came back also with a "Congrats you are approved and I'd had to make you wait so you will have your card in 72 hours"!

WOW... when logging into AMEX.com I am still seeing 663 even though I know I'm at 682 and I still haven't received the notice from MyFico or EXP for the HPs although I know I will soon.

Overall I am estatic!  Whenever my FICO finally updates I'll post on the thread.

Re: AMEX.com FICO Score Updates

For reference points, mine pull a score between the 5th and 7th of the month. The score is posted to the Amex website on the 14th.

Re: AMEX.com FICO Score Updates

Mine has been pulling the 29th (or occasionally the 30th) of the month through February.  The next one was 2 April (none for March) which showed up a week later (around the 8th of April) and had a **63 POINT** decrease for no reason I know of.  Up to that time, NONE of my other reports showed anything other than a couple of point drop.

AMEX IMMEDIATELY slashed my CL to literally $50 above my balance.  (As I had another payment on the way, it gave me some breathing room).  Before I could react and make a sizable payment (half of the balance, which I was not planning on, as I am at 0% APR until the end of the year), that 93% util reported to the bureaus.

It is now 13th of May, five days beyond the date last month when my FICO generated with them, so I am understandably anxious to see what this report will look like.

I had planned to write up a post here with the data points, and see if anyone had any advice (this literally happened my first morning back at work after having 4 days off, and I have been too busy since to follow up).  I am concerned that calling in for a recon or requesting a CLI (due next week) might open myself up to further AA (as I have no idea what would have caused such a drop.  I have pulled at least two CRs since, one of them being the EX that AMEX uses, and there is nothing unexpected on there)

So, yes, I am understandably being VERY impatient waiting for them to update my FICO so I can see where I now stand.

Re: AMEX.com FICO Score Updates

Ok so some feedback for the group.  After applying and getting approved for both the AMEX BCE and PRG last week on 5/12 my FICO online is now updated with 5/12 on americanexpress.com.

It appears the hard pulling of credit (only 1 HP for both cards) has prompted the updated online.  Just wanted the group to be aware.

Re: AMEX.com FICO Score Updates

Well, I checked again today and no joy... I can't remember the last time it took this long to update (for me).

Of course it would have to be delayed the same month I'm eligible to try for another CLI, and possibly app for another card... <sigh>

Re: AMEX.com FICO Score Updates

Yeah same here, haven't had a update since April 2nd. But Amex has always been slow and inconsistent with fico score updates, but this is the longest I have waited.
