First, I got a Surpass card recently, and I was wondering when the points post. I would assume that their posting system would be similar for their MR charge points, SPG, etc, but I was just curious. I know Cap1 posts cash back immediately and Chase posts UR at statement cut, just wondering what AMEX does?
Also, I noticed that you can see for each transaction you can see which category it falls into, which is really cool. I noticed that one restaurant I went to showed as RESTAURANT - RESTAURANT, and another showed as RESTAURANT - BAR AND CAFE. Would these both fall into the restaurant category as far as earning points goes, or just the first one? Thanks in advance everyone.
Sorry, New Guy. I don't have an Amex yet or any spiffy cards with rotating categories so I can't help
Haha, it's all good Fancy, thanks for trying!

That's awesome, I was hoping that was correct. So does anyone know about points posting and when that happens?
I have the noAF Hilton and my points post pretty fast. The PRG seems to lag behind at least a statement or two.

Lexie, so with your Hilton card, are we talking like a week? Or simply when the statement cuts? Thanks for all of your input.

As they post to your Honors account -usuallly within a week. For non Hilton charges, it seems to take a statement.

Ah, that makes sense. So points on the card created by spend at Hilton properties generally post to your HH account quick, but general and non-Hilton category spend like gas stations and restaurants usually waits until statement cut?
